Watchet Marina Re-Launch Party Marks a Milestone in Rehabilitation Success

Western Marinas is delighted to report the resounding success of Watchet Marina’s official re-launch party, held to celebrate the tremendous progress made in the rehabilitation of the marina.

Over 150 guests gathered to mark this important milestone, including berth holders, guests from visiting boats and community members who have been instrumental in the success to date.

The re-launch event was a vibrant affair, filled with good cheer, lively conversation, and a shared sense of pride in how far Watchet Marina has come. It was not just a celebration of the physical transformation of the marina, but also of the collaborative spirit that has brought it back to life.

“This was a day to recognise all the hard work that’s gone into rehabilitating the marina, and to thank the people who have stood by us,” said Andrew Cornish, Chair of Western Marinas. “The turnout exceeded our expectations and highlighted the community’s deep connection with Watchet Marina.”

The marina welcomed 42 visiting boats for the weekend, each adding to the atmosphere and showcasing Watchet Marina’s return as a boating destination on the Somerset coast. Many visiting boaters expressed excitement about the newly dredged marina and the renewed sense of vitality.
