Western Marinas Team Joins Global Women’s Walk 2025 in Wales

As part of Global Women’s Walk 2025, members of the Western Marinas team were delighted to join in the celebration of women in the marine industry by taking part in two community walks held in Wales.

Sian Reynolds, Chair of RYA Cymru and Senior Associate at Acuity Law, organised 4 walks across Wales to mark the International Day for Women in Maritime (May 18th) taking place between the 11-18th May. The aim was to highlight the contributions and vital roles that women make in the marine sector and to encourage meaningful progress towards a more inclusive industry whilst strengthening vital connections.

Western Marinas Commercial Director Johara Sykes-Dale, along with her four-legged companion Nala, joined the Pwllheli beach walk, which set off from Plas Heli.

Bronwyn Vowles and Katie Watson then represented the team on the Cardiff leg of the walk along the Barrage.

These events offered a great opportunity for women in marine to network, share ideas, and give back to the environment—with participants collecting litter along the way.
